Chardriana (“Char”) Jean is an Administrative Operations and Strategy Leader with nearly two decades of experience designing systems that improve how organizations work. With a career spanning healthcare, higher education, and the public sector, she specializes in aligning people, processes, and strategy to build sustainable administrative infrastructure that supports long-term success.

Char currently leads administrative operations for UCSF’s Divisions of Cardiac Surgery & Lung Transplantation and Thoracic Surgery, where she oversees cross-functional teams, strengthens governance and compliance workflows, and develops systems that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration. Her background also includes operational leadership roles at Kaiser Permanente and the County of Alameda, where she supported executive and board-level functions, managed multimillion-dollar workflows, and improved fiscal accountability through streamlined processes and audit-ready systems.
